SARA MONTES - Founder 

Born in Portugal, Sara holds a Master in Hotel Management and worked for several years in luxury hospitality. She had a successful four-years stint in East Timor, being part of the leading team of the historical hotel of the country and Advisor for the Minister of Tourism, Art & Culture. While at the Government she worked on the Tourism Plan against poverty created by UNWTO and ensure countrys first time participation at the International Fair, Expo Milan 2015. 

With almost 15 years on the fields of Yoga, Meditation & Solidarity, her curiosity and somehow general dissatisfaction took her to travel more than 50 countries to get in touch with different cultures, religions and ways of thinking. 

Sara is the Founder of Gaya Immersions. 

 LUCIA ANDRADE - Main Ashtanga Yoga Teacher

Lu is one of the handful people in the world Certified at K Pattabhi Jois Ashtanga Yoga Institute (KPJAYI).

Started practicing yoga  while she was at university in Brazil and completed a BA in Dance, Communication & Arts of the Body (PUC/SP) in 2003. 

Lucia has taught in Brazil, Norway, Mexico, Germany, Taiwan, Spain, Netherlands, Argentina, Peru, to name a few, sharing her experience in the fields of Yoga.

For the last years, she assisted her teacher R. Sharath Jois in the Main Shala of Mysore, India. She was also, one of the selected to make demos with his teacher´s guidance for locals and medical Indian community about the benefits of Ashtanga Yoga.

Devoted to support her students, her mission at Gaya Immersions is to pass as pure as possible the teachings she received from one of the most classical yoga lineages of our times. Lucia is also the only Yoga teacher at Gaya Immersions with a 3 weeks to 1 month Program Worldwide.

Retreat Chef & Raw Food Trainer, Sayuri is one of the most respectable Raw Food Chefs in Asia. Founder of “Sayuri Healing Food Cafe” in Bali, she’s leading Raw Food Chef Certifications worldwide.

Raw & Vegan Food Consultant for the past years, she is passionate to share, teach & guide each person through an individual journey to re-discover its own true power with the healing of food ingredients.

Enthusiastic by nature, food is her tool to help people heal and generate a most healthy and holistic approach to our daily lives.

Her mission at Gaya Immersions is to spread her knowledge through Workshops and Consulting taking our nurturing way of eating to the most highest levels in each event we do in Ubud, Bali.
